My workshop is now available for reading my stories.

You may be wondering what Orik0n is, well Orikon is my lvl57 human warrior on the Thunderhorn server in the massive multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft.  More information about Orikon and all of my other WoW characters may be found on my WoW page.  I am also greatly anticipating another MMORPG called Warhammer Online.

Suffice to say, I am your clasic nerd "in the flesh".  I like to play roleplaying games (RPG's), I like reading comic books, and I even managed to get straight A's in college calculus (man I love math!)  My other hobbies include writing fantasy/sci-fi/super-hero story lines, and I may include a few of my stories here on my wiki at a later time.  I like watching Smallville (on the CW), and Heroes (on NBC).  I enjoyed watching the original Star Wars (episodes 1-3 made me cry tears of rage and made me want to stab my own eyes out with a shrimp fork), Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, X-Men, and Spider-Man movies, I also used to be into the whole Star Trek genre (until they screwed it all up with Voyager).

I am married with two kids that I hope to corrupt into being nerdy as well (however I think that my wife has reserved our daughter to be more of a socialite/popular person, which is fine with me as long as my son can walk in my nerdy footsteps).  I work at Intel sorting the wafers into good die vs. bad die, but I aspire to soon be an electrical engineer (I had to take a leave from school when my son was born so I could make a living for my family, when I go back I will have to go part time while I continue to work full time).  I do not want to stay in the semi-conductor industry as an engineer, but I would rather prefer to work in the avionics field in the aero-space industry designing control systems for aircraft and/or spacecraft.  I wouldn't mind however to continue working at Intel long enough to earn my first sabbatical at which I would like to backpack through Europe with my wife (I have about 5.5 years until I earn my first sabbatical).

3/22/2007  I have taken a break from WoW in order to play City of Heroes.  I am still experimenting with the various different archetypes.  I have a lvl 9 Empathy/Pcionic Blast Defender, but I don't team with him (desite the almost constant blind invites).  His name is Brigadier Justice, and he only has two powers from the Empathy pool, one heal and one rez.  I started a new defender, a double dark defender to be precicely, his name is Brigadier Twilight (I know enough with the whole brigadier thing, they even have matching costumes).  I also tried an electricity/electricity blaster named Brigadier Electron (perhaps I should start expecting a salad fork to be thrust into my eye), this one seems the most fun so far, although I wouldn't mind trying out a scrapper.  I have also heard that Storm defenders are great in solo.  I'm actually looking for a toon that is great at solo, but is also great in a team setting.  Blasters and scrappers are essential, but their a dime a dozen.  defenders and controllers are also essential in teams, but since they don't deal or absorb a great deal of damage, they are less than ideal for solo play in general, such that they are a rare commodity, thus the blind invites on my empathy defender who has no heals.

6/20/2007 I have been back to WoW for a few months now and I am playing on the Area 52 server.  My main is currently a lv42 hunter dranei named Kia.  I actually was only playing CoH for about a month and a half.  The wife can't stand that game and asked me if I could roll a hunter in WoW.  I chose Area 52 server because a family that I go to church with that I had just rescently met plays on that server.  Kia is now a member of a guild composed almost entirely of transfer players starting fresh with new toons, the guild is called the silent assassins.  Kia is a charter member, in otherwords, when they were just starting their guild on the Area 52 server, I sighned their charter in order to allow them to form their guild.
